Can we talk about these mountains real quick šŸ˜ Can we talk about these mountains real quick šŸ˜ Taken on my way from Salzburg to Innsbruck via train in Austria.
One of the things I’m hoping to work on for 2020 One of the things I’m hoping to work on for 2020 is how long it takes me to edit travel photos. It’s tough. I’ll take several thousand, loosely organize them, and hope for the best. The only time they see the light of day is for a specific blog post or whenever the urge strikes (which is few and far between.) And now I know why.

It took me around 4-5 hours to edit down a SINGLE DAY in #Austria. My entire trip was ten days, some with a lot photos than others (I’m looking at you Innsbruck.) I feel accomplished at even making a small dent in years worth of images collecting dust.

On the bright side, I now have SO many beauties to show you from one of my newest favorite European cities: Salzburg! I don’t know if I’ll even share a sliver of my favorites on here, but I sense a few photo-heavy blog posts coming soon šŸ™ƒ

No stranger to anxiety and panic attacks, I often No stranger to anxiety and panic attacks, I often choose to try to write through them.

Sometimes it’ll look like a paragraph of catastrophizing, repetitive thoughts, other times something a little more intelligible. This morning was more of the latter and I’m choosing to publish it. I’m not the only person who exists with high-functioning anxiety (meaning most people have no idea how much we’re panicking underneath the facade we put forward.) We go to work on time, power through social events, do the things that most people think anyone with ā€œrealā€ anxiety (cue eye-roll šŸ™„) wouldn’t be able to do.

Anxiety can come in all shapes and sizes, sometimes with no clear reason at all, and I wanted to show what mine can oftentimes show up as.

Follow the link in my bio to see what a panic attack can really look like.
For anyone who’s currently in the middle of thei For anyone who’s currently in the middle of their #hustle, especially in those not-so-great moments of answering a mountain of emails or working a job that’s paying too little for the value you provide. Or like me, on their way to an office where someone can explain how paying for a catastrophic plan (oh, the joys of being a freelancer) as a first-time health insurance buyer works- I see you. It sucks. You’re more likely than not burnt-out somewhat from a hectic holiday schedule. Maybe you’d rather be on the plane slowly making its way across the view from your office window. Maybe you’d rather just be home, curled up on the couch.

Remember to ask yourself what your why is.

Why are you hustling?

What are you trying to achieve?

Is what you’re currently doing in alignment to what needs to be done to get to where you need to be?

If it is, remind yourself that every step forward, no matter how small, or how painful, will be worth the end result.

If it’s not, think about your why and find something small to propel you a little further from where you are and a little closer to where you want to be.

I don’t want to be on this train, hoping to finally get some answers because, holy shit New York, the process of trying to figure out your healthcare application process is a nightmare. But I know that doing it gets me a whole lot closer to being able to go back home and spend more time working on my why. Using the time on this train to type out something a little more than me gushing about this beautiful spot in Spain I’d much rather be, gets me one step closer to my goal of being more consistent with my posts in order to grow.

What’s one small step you can take today to get you -that- much closer to your goals?
